The Company

HealthVelocity is the largest ancillary care Independent Practice Association in the state of Texas. With dental networks in the major metropolitan areas of Texas, we now serve over 100,000 members. The company developed and offers the first value-added adult dental program for Medicaid and Medicare recipients.

Our providers have cared for Texans for more than 50 years, and are committed to preserve and promote the excellent oral health of Texans. This purpose is fulfilled through the successful organization of three companies that focus on the needs and goals for three critical healthcare participants…patients, providers and payors.

HealthVelocity PLLC, is an Independent Practice Association (IPA) that offers a comprehensive ancillary healthcare delivery system to employer groups, MCO’s, participating provider networks and consumers, including:

Dentists, PLLC is a statewide network of independent dental providers accessible through an arrangement with HealthVelocity PLLC, to deliver dental services including:

Q. What is HealthVelocity?

A. HealthVelocity Dental Plan is a dental referral group which offers our members affordable and comprehensive dental discount plans. Our dental plans feature a complete range of diagnostic, preventive and restorative dental care servicesis a company that provides dental services to Texans through contracts with various HMOs.

Q. How do I use the plan or get services?

A. Present your Identification Card to any HealthVelocity provider to receive discounted fees. The discount is taken from the Metropolitan Service Area UCR (Usual Customary Rates). The plan design you choose will determine the percentage of discount. You pay the provider at the time of service.One you have selected an HMO to provide you with dental services in some cases you select a dentist by calling HealthVelocity while in others you will select from a list of network providers serving that HMO.

Q. Who are the Dental providers?

A. HealthVelocity has one of the largest dental provider networks in Texas . Our providers are NCQA criteria credentialed and are committed to meeting your needs! HealthVelocity is created by dentist for dentist and their patients!

Q. When do benefits begin?

A. Within 14 working days of receipt of your application, you will receive your New Member Package. You can call the dentist of your choice from our directory and set up your appointment immediately after receiving your HealthVelocity I.D. card.

Q. What if I need a specialist?

A. There is no referral required to visit a HealthVelocity specialist. Simply select a participating specialist from the HealthVelocity provider directory.

Q. How do I get more information about rates and plan design?

A. Just call your local HealthVelocity sales office at 713-599-1114 (Outside Houston call 1-800-365-3527) and we will assist you.
